Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 March 2026
1. Introduction
Analytise ("we", "our", or "us") provides privacy-first analytics for websites. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use our service at analytise.com (the "Site") or when your website visitors are measured by our analytics script (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
2. Information we collect
Account and usage (you as a customer)
When you sign up and use Analytise, we collect: email address, name (if provided), password (hashed), and usage data related to your account (e.g. websites you add, settings). This is stored and processed to provide the Service, support, and billing.
Website visitor data (visitors on sites using our script)
For visitors to websites that use our tracking script, we process data necessary for analytics only. We do not collect names, email addresses, or other directly identifying information. We do not store IP addresses. We use the IP only on our servers to derive country (via a local database), then discard it. We store: a random visitor ID and session ID (used only to count unique visitors and sessions), page URLs and referrer, country, device type, browser and OS, and similar technical data. Our script may use minimal browser storage (e.g. local storage or session storage) solely to maintain these anonymous identifiers so we can calculate unique visitors and sessions; we do not use third-party cookies or advertising trackers.
3. How we use the information
We use the information to: provide and improve the analytics Service, display dashboards and reports to you, respond to support requests, send important service or security notices, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing. Data may be processed by our infrastructure providers (e.g. hosting and database services) solely to run the Service.
4. Data storage and location
Your data is stored on systems operated by us or our service providers. Storage location depends on the region you choose for your project. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
5. Data retention
We retain account and analytics data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data; we will delete or anonymise it in line with our internal retention policy and applicable law.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to: access your personal data, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, and data portability. If you are in the EEA/UK, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. If you use our script on your site, you are responsible for informing your own visitors about analytics and their rights in line with applicable law (e.g. GDPR).
7. Cookies and similar technologies
We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Our analytics script may use minimal first-party browser storage (e.g. local storage or session storage) only to keep anonymous visitor and session identifiers so we can report unique visitors and sessions. We do not use this for cross-site tracking or profiling for ads.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. For material changes, we may notify you by email or a notice in the product.
