Install Analytise on WordPress

Three paths: a header-injection plugin, a theme edit, or a tiny functions.php hook.

Option 1 — Header plugin (recommended)

  1. Install a plugin like WPCode or Insert Headers and Footers.
  2. Open the plugin's settings and find the Header / <head> field.
  3. Paste the snippet and save.
<script
  defer
  data-domain="yourwebsite.com"
  data-site-id="YOUR_SITE_ID"
  src="https://www.analytise.com/js/tracker.js"
></script>

Option 2 — Edit your theme's header.php

  1. Go to Appearance → Theme File Editor.
  2. Open header.php and paste the snippet just before </head>.
  3. Save changes.

Theme updates wipe header.php edits

If you don't use a child theme, prefer Option 1 or Option 3.

Option 3 — Hook into wp_head

Add this to your child theme's functions.php:

functions.php
add_action('wp_head', function () {
  echo '<script defer data-domain="yourwebsite.com" data-site-id="YOUR_SITE_ID" src="https://www.analytise.com/js/tracker.js"></script>';
});

Verify it works

  1. Open your website in a new tab.
  2. The dashboard shows your visit under online within a few seconds (live visitors update every ~15s).
  3. Nothing showing? See Troubleshooting.
